It doesn't seem to hurt her though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-11553066233338736172014-03-08T23:33:43.501-05:002014-03-08T23:33:43.501-05:00Believe it or not, I found this searching because ...Believe it or not, I found this searching because I have the same problem on my scalp. A bunch of my foot long hair has grown into the back, middle area of my head in a huge cluster all going in a bunch of different directions. It hurts like h-double-hockeysticks!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-76905521315788759942012-11-28T10:49:25.988-05:002012-11-28T10:49:25.988-05:00My in-laws have a Golden named Cooper. I was thinking it might have been a cyst, and a Google search brought me to your Cooper's blog. He's so beautiful! I love the dog blog idea, and was thinking of starting one for my two Goldens who always have a lot to say. Anyway, thanks for the story of the bump on Cooper's head. I'm glad it turned out okay.Barbaraahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10016306181202590619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-75754329579177922552012-10-18T17:29:41.986-04:002012-10-18T17:29:41.986-04:00I have a German Shepherd puppy, just turned 1. I brought her in today as I think it has changed and grew. Vet said it is a cluster of ingrown hairs. We are trying warm compresses and cream to try and shrink it before resorting to possible surgeryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-41734046760768474342012-01-26T21:44:04.317-05:002012-01-26T21:44:04.317-05:00I have a maltese who has ingrown hairs, but they a...I have a maltese who has ingrown hairs, but they are not just on top of his head, but behind his ears and on his throat. When he was a puppy the vet took some out, but said there was so much on his throat there is not enough skin to replace after the surgery, and they are so in dept in his throat it would be too risky. My sister and I noticed the ones under his ears and on his throat are getting bigger. So far there is no sign of suffering, but I'm afraid one day I'll find him dead from them strangling him. He is my goofball.. his throat is still bald from when the vet checked the bumps and he is around 7 years old now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-37825216741118758092011-11-05T15:26:55.143-04:002011-11-05T15:26:55.143-04:00Hi. We also have a golden "Dashell", he was born with a small patch of white on his head. It then went away. But 3 years ago it formed a bump. Vet said not to worry, probably a ingrown hair and if it doesn't get bigger it should not be a problem. But it is now getting bigger. Sounds like the same thing! He'll be visiting the vet next week to take a look.alisahttp://www.raisondartfrance.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348859358481047496.post-42197802754940910172010-09-02T02:32:18.352-04:002010-09-02T02:32:18.352-04:00Aww! The real reason why I even stumbled across this blog is because I was Google-ing things that would help me cope and grieve since my Golden Retriever's passing. She was 13 and I am 23, so she's been with me over half my life. It's weird, but this post reminded me of the good times I spent with Jewel, my golden girl. No matter how old Golden's get, they are such puppies at heart and this blogger post helped remind me of that. In some weird way...
